How is your office staying on top of infection control recommendations?

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We look for updates daily and make appropriate adjustments to stay up to date on any new guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agency's recommendations.

What changes will I see at my next appointment?

• Our office will communicate with you to ask some screening questions.  You'll be asked those same questions again when you come into the office, and we will take your temperature at that time as well.

• We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find it in the reception area and other places throughout the office for you to use as needed. You will also be asked to rinse with a pleasant tasting antiseptic rinse prior to starting our procedures.

• Our reception area will no longer offer magazines or a self-serve beverage station in order to minimize infection risk, but you're always welcome to ask our staff for water or coffee.

• Appointments will be managed a bit differently than in the past in order to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you'll be offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment, but we want to ensure safety over convenience for the time being.

• No companions will be allowed inside the office unless absolutely necessary, so we ask that if others accompany you to your appointment, you ask them to remain outside the office.

• We will do our best to allow greater time between patients in order to reduce waiting times and to minimize the number of patients in our reception area at any one time. We have removed seating and increased the distances between seats.

Are you providing dental cleanings at this time?

Starting May 11, 2020, we will resume dental hygiene services. The precautions listed above will be taken to protect you and our staff.

I'm experiencing some symptoms but have an appointment coming up. What do I do?

Please call our office ASAP so we can determine if your appointment will need to be rescheduled. Generally speaking, if you're feeling sick, we ask that you stay home. Please review our screening questions above before your appointment.
